Everything you can click, you can now call
A build fails at two in the morning and your CI job hands the log to an agent. The v1 API puts agents, chat, boards, organizations, and billing behind a personal key.
A build fails at two in the morning. Nobody is watching the dashboard. Your CI job opens a session, hands the agent the failing log, and by the time you sit down there is a diagnosis and a branch waiting. That is one script. From today, everything the dashboard does is a call.
What is covered
Version 1 spans six areas: agents, chat sessions, tasks and boards, organizations, API keys, and billing. Swagger and ReDoc documentation live at the API root. Rate limits are per key and published, so you can read them instead of discovering them.

Create a key from the Developer page in settings, pick an expiry from seven days to never, and it is live. Keys became self-service for every organization member on July 28.
Three scripts people wrote in the first week
- A CI job that opens a JackHamr session when a build fails and asks the agent to investigate before a human sees the alert
- A CRM automation that drops a card on the sales board the moment a deal reaches a stage, so an agent drafts the follow-up while the deal is warm
- A wall display that reads every board and shows which cards are waiting on a person
The one we did not expect: a team built their own thin interface on top of the API for one workflow, because the people running it did not need the full dashboard. The fleet became a backend.
The commitment
Version 1 is versioned because we intend to keep it stable. Fields get added. Existing fields do not change meaning.
Build on it. It will still be there.
